18 Weeks

We hit the 18 week mark this last week! Woo! We had an appointment on Monday, and since my mom and Jeff are out of town, we were kind of forced to take Lilly with us. It was a quick, routine checkup, so all she got to experience was hearing the twins' heartbeats. She thought it was super cool. The babies are doing great! I got the Down Syndrome test results back today, and everything is normal. I've only gained a total of 8 pounds so far, and I thank the gym for that. My back and hips are starting to get sore and stiff when I lay down. That's part of the PSD (pubic symphysis disorder) that plagued me during Lilly's pregnancy. I haven't been able to go to the gym at all this week because of the lack of my mom to watch Lilly, so I'm hoping that increasing my daily movement will loosen everything back up. It's really not that bad yet, and isn't as frequent, but I know it can get quite bad if I let it.

Anyway, we've picked the names (FINALLY), even though I'm not in love with the boy name, and I'm still iffy on the girl name. I'm sure I'll warm up to them. I have plenty of time before they get here. They are kicking me like crazy now. The girl is right under my belly button, and she keeps pushing up on it in slow kicks, almost like she's annoyed that it's there. It always makes me giggle when I can feel them kicking.

Now it's Lilly's turn
She was excited that there was a "bed," and insisted on kicking me
