Quackin' Good Time

I don't think today could have been more Springy/Easter themed. We've been meaning to visit Ryan's parents for some time, but every weekend for the past month has had something force us to cancel. Lilly was so excited to see grandma and grandpa, the entire 45 minute car ride was filled with "grandma, grandpa, grandma, grandpa...."

Our pre-Easter day was packed with helping Jan weed the dandelions out of her lawn, discovering roly-poly bugs and ants, and feeding ducks at the nearby park/pond. This was Lilly's first time getting to feed ducks, and boy was she excited. When we first walked up, there were a couple of ducks sitting in the grass, and Lilly proceeded to chase them, screaming "WAIT, DUCKIES! QUACK, QUACK, QUACK!" Grandpa even had to intervene, because Lilly wasn't paying attention to the stream she was about to run into. Once we started feeding the ducks, a stampede of them started to close in. We were in duck heaven! I'm sure this will become a tradition every time we come up here now.

WARNING, PICTURE OVERLOAD (and another event for me to scrapbook!)

SO happy when we told her we were going to the park

She wanted to hold grandpa's hand instead of ride in the stroller

Lilly ate just as much bread as the ducks. "One for Lilly, one for duckies, one for Lilly, one for duckies..."

This guy and his crazy hair was my favorite

One happy grandpa

Carrying around grandma's weed bucket. Gettin' her started on weeding early!

Baby "tado" bug. She liked to blow on them to see them roll up

Snuggling the HUGE bear

A moment in history. Uncle Christian teaching her how to squish ants

She slowly piled her blocks, one at a time, onto Uncle Christian
She's saying "where'd the ants go?"
