So, yesterday was Jack's birthday. Here I was thinking he was 22, when he was really turning 23. Bad sister! It was a last-second decision to join Jack, Susan, Mom, and Jeff for dinner. All mom had to say was "guacamole," and I was in! Seriously, it was THE best guac I've ever had; made table-side, to our specifications. In fact, I filled up on it, and only had room for literally ONE bite of my burrito. SO worth it, though! Oh, and if you're wanting to try this guacamole out for yourself, we ate at a Mexican restaurant called "Los Cucos" in Sandy.
As always, Lilly was difficult to feed. She ate a few bites of beans and rice, and then was more interested in getting passed from lap to lap, as she would yell "WANT GRANDMA! WANT GRANDPA! WANT JACK!" When they brought out dessert, it was a battle to get any before Lilly ate it all. She grabbed a fork and went straight for the whipped cream. Jack was a little bitter that she ate all his whipped cream, so he started smearing it all over her face.
Jack was in a bit of a hurry to get home to study for finals, so we opened presents redneck style, on the lawn. What did I get Jack, you ask? Well, it's kind of embarrassing, but something that he'd once told me "if I had my own, I think my life would be complete." While serving his mission in Argentina, he came to love the bidets attached to every toilet. If you don't know what a bidet is, I suggest Googling it, because it's just awkward to try and explain. But yes, that's what we got him. I told him that I didn't want to know how well it worked or if he liked it. No news is good news.
Grandma thought it was funny to give her a lemon. Poor thing is never going to trust anyone ever again.
Birthday boy....reading my card. Please don't judge my card by the cover. Hahaha!
Birthday kisses!
