Here's the update on all the random stuff that's been going on lately.
Monday was a bit rough for Lilly. Right after breakfast, she puked all over both of her favorite bears and her favorite blankie. I immediately threw them into the wash. No matter how many different ways I tried to calm her down and explain that they were just "swimming" (AKA for "taking a bath") or that they were going nigh-nigh (generally a good way to get her to let something go), it didn't work. She saw me throw them in the water and started screaming "BEAR BEAR!!" in her panicky, high-pitched voice. It was quite sad, actually. The only way I could get her to calm down was to give her any and all stuffed animals that I could find. Occasionally she'd drop them all and remember that she really only wanted bear-bear. Oh, the look of pure joy that crossed her face when I finally gave them back to her, was precious. She didn't let them go all day.
Tuesday, we got Joel until about 10:30 at night. Ryan had to stay late at work, so that meant I got to feed two babies at once, and give both of them baths. It was TOUGH stuff! I had only just put Joel to bed and sat down on the couch to take a breather, when Ryan walked in. Good training for more kids!
Wednesday was a very Christmasy day for us. I decided to make sugar cookies for all the neighbors. I whipped out mom's famous recipe, and got to work. Of course, they never turn out as good as mom's, but getting to bake while watching Christmas movies is a success in my book.

Wearing Uncle Jack's shoes. If you are a guest in our house, your shoes WILL be worn by Lilly.

The look on her face when she was hysterically crying "Bear Bear!!" just broke my heart.

That was fun to clean up

Twins! We had the same black, lace dress and matching pink sweaters at church. She definitely wore it better, since my dress was about 5 sizes too big, and looked like I was wearing a moo-moo and a cape.

She likes riding daddy like a horse now. Poor Joel made the mistake of crawling in front of her, and she thought it was an invite to strattle him, too.
I leave my mom alone with Lilly for 10 minutes, and she teaches her this. No, Lilly, that is NOT what a mommy says!!
This toy has provided countless hours of fun for both the kitties and Lilly
Lilly figured that if she likes riding in a box, why shouldn't the kitty?
