Lilly Update

Our little princess had her 15 month checkup last Thursday. This time around, I didn't forget the vaccine record (last time I spent an hour before the appointment, hunting in a panic, only to leave without it...I found it a month or two later). It was a quick visit. He asked me developmental questions like "is she dancing? Is she climbing on furniture? Can she talk?"...Yes, yes, and yes. She now weighs 25 lbs, and is a little over 33 inches long. That's the 95th percentile for weight, and the 97th for height. She was a bit of a crank for the last half of the visit, not wanting the doctor to touch her, not wanting to lay down, etc, etc. So, as you can imagine, the shots didn't go over so well. She thrashed about and was already crying before the nurse even did anything. Boy did those shots make her mad! I always feel so terrible when I'm looking her in the eye at the exact moment that she gets the shots. I was able to calm her down with a sucker. According to the nurse, the two shots she got (MMR and Varicela) are more painful than the others. I got her home, gave her some Tylenol, and put her down for a nap. She didn't have any adverse reactions, and didn't seem any different, thank goodness.

All better
