Ahh, Monday. My subconscious was apparently very excited for today, because I woke up at 5 with severe, breathtaking anxiety, and couldn't go back to sleep. I feared that my day would be terrible from how tired I was. But, it wasn't! While Joel took his morning nap, I fed Lilly breakfast, and then all she wanted to do was snuggle. We snuggled while we watched Sesame Street, and I was on cloud 9.
After Lilly's nap, I packed up the group and we were off on our grocery shopping adventures. My solution to the problem of not being able to fit any groceries in the cart, due to Joel's carseat, was using one of those kiddy car carts. I put Lilly in the car, and put Joel up in the seat of the cart. Lilly loved playing with the steering wheels, looking back at me and screaming "HI" all creepy-like through the cart, sticking her head out of the window and yelling "HI" at all of the other shoppers, and grabbing anything that I got too close to. It was much smoother than last week's trip, I just had to make sure I didn't leave the store without paying for the bologna and random, assorted meats that Lilly grabbed and tucked into the seat next to her.
To my extreme surprise, I mustered up the courage to commit to going to the gym today. I felt like I would survive, but I knew that the second I got in bed for the evening, I would probably die. Well, here I am, and I'm not dead...not even all that tired either. It's a miracle!! I'm hoping this new routine won't catch up with me, and that going to the gym will be possible for most days of the week. So, all-in-all, we had a good Monday.

I was pretty proud of how healthy her lunch was. She's getting better at feeding herself. And she waited until the end of the meal to throw the tray off her high chair.

She picked all the turkey off the sandwich and chucked it over the side. So, I guess she doesn't like turkey...the kitties didn't mind, though.

She liked playing with both steering wheels at the same time. The dang thing had a seat belt, but it was broken, so Lilly was able to move about...a little more than I would have liked.

It looks like she's mad, but she's yelling "HI" at me. I loved getting to see her peaking out the sides.

Mr. Joel was a happy boy today. His first tooth is finally starting to come in.

This was from Saturday evening. The guys had a game night. Sorry, Colton, I didn't mean to cut you out of the picture.
