Helpless

It amazes me how quickly things can pop up with babies. For instance, diaper rash and runny noses. I'm convinced that Lilly's never-ending runny nose is actually because she's still teething. The doctor did say that she was getting in her upper K-9s. I was positive that was the case, when, overnight, she got the worst rash on her bum. She's had them before, but this one is SO bad. If she's sitting or anything is putting pressure on her bum, she squeals with pain. It's like a high-pitched gasp. I could just tell something was hurting her. Oh, and dirty diapers and wipes make her scream and writhe. I had my visiting teachers over today, and they gave me some very helpful tips. After her afternoon nap, I let her play in her pack'n play, on a waterproof mat, for about an hour. She really loves to be naked. Hopefully I'll be able to make her feel better soon, because right now I just feel helpless.
