Okay, so you know how my post yesterday started off with me saying that I was only writing it because I needed to vent? Well, here's the thing....
After writing that post, and feeling like I had looked everywhere humanely possible, I gave it one last shot. I started in the back of the house, in our bedroom, and I vowed that if those dang pieces were here, I WOULD find them. I went from room to room, and literally opened anything that could open, lifted anything that could lift, and checked every imaginable spot. By the time I worked my way up to the front door, and I was out of places to look, I just wanted to cry. It didn't make sense where they could have gone. FINE! I just let it go and ordered more from Amazon...thank goodness they're cheap.
Still trying to distract myself from my emotions, I decided to start Lilly's bath time routine, all the while missing a call from my mother, only to get a text that said "would you feel better if you had your plastic pieces?" Um, of course I would! By the time I was able to respond once Lilly was in bed, my mom was too, so I had to wait until today to be told that, for some strange, annoying, frustrating reason, the pieces ended up at her house. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Once my pieces arrive tomorrow, I'm going to be up to my neck in them. But, don't you find it slightly ironic that I ended my post, mentioning how I said a silent prayer...only to have the post itself be the answer? My mom only knew what they were or that I needed them because she read the post. Touche, Heavenly Father, touche! Prayers are ALWAYS answered.
I was only a fraction as productive today, though. Lilly, still sick, got up at 7. She wouldn't go back to sleep, so I got up with her, fed her, ate breakfast, and then started on small chores. I didn't have it in me today to start something like the shelf and spend all day looking for something that apparently didn't exist. I was only able to accomplish doing kitty litter (which may sound like a small task, but really entails scooping the bins, sweeping and vacuuming the laundry room, and then mopping up the mess from where they missed the bin. GROSS!), mopping the kitchen and entry, laundry, and making a batch of cookies. Yes, that last one was completely necessary...and I'm going to make another batch later tonight. Ryan is very strict about the amount of chocolate chips in his cookies, and since we only had enough for one batch, I sent him to WINCO to grab some. I was just craving cookies for some reason...One 3 hour nap with baby and a quick visit from Ryan on his way to class so that he could drop off the chocolate chips, I think I'll resume my chores.

Sometimes she's just so cranky, the only thing that calms her down is laying her across my lap and gently patting her until she falls asleep.
Here's the story behind these pictures: I opened our bedroom window last night because I was too hot, and by the time morning came around, our house was freeeeezing. (Secretly, I loved it. I'm not sure if I can speak for Ryan) Lilly still being sick, I decided we deserved a sweats day, since I planned to keep the patio door open. I dressed her up in her new sweat pants and hoody, with an adorable headband. I'm not even kidding when I say that I would pay good money to get a pair of these sweats in my size. Until then, I'll just live vicariously through Lilly.

There's nothing better than sweats with socks....just sayin'! And the fact that her feet are so tiny and cute just makes me more jealous.

Not feeling good, but still one of the happiest little babies I know.
