All Alone

Ryan's out of town until late Wednesday night. Part of me is excited because it means I can clean and do whatever...not like I don't do that when Ryan's around. The other part of me hates having half the bed empty, and misses having someone to talk to. I made it through day #1, though. It was rough, I won't lie. Around mid-day, Lilly went into hysteria, and nothing I did calmed her down; not even a bottle. She was choking on her mucous (nose AND mouth), and fighting her to suction out her nose was just making it worse. Every time I have to suction out her nose, I feel like I'm torturing her. Even just wiping her nose has become a catalyst for a MAD baby. I don't know what I did, but I somehow managed to get her to fall asleep on my chest, so I put her in the crib. I would usually just be thankful she was sleeping, and lay on the couch with her, as to not wake her up and ruin it, but I needed a minute to breathe. When she's that angry, I just need to run away and cry for a bit.

To my surprise, she slept for 30 minutes, I fed her, and she went back to sleep for another hour or so. When I got her up, she was a completely different baby. Well, happy if I was holding her, but instant screaming if I put her down. I had lots to do, so I put her in the Baby Bjorn. She loved it. I like walking out of her room with her (which is at the end of the hall), and saying "Okay, we're going to dance down the hall...bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!" as I sashay and bounce her up and down the hall. She gets so excited!

I was so relieved when Ryan's sister, Erin, (sorry, Erin. I know I don't really need to make the full introduction every time, but some of my family needs explanation as to who "Erin" is. Ha!) called and invited me over for dinner and FHE, since I am alone. Despite getting completely lost on the way over...stupid TomTom, I had a great time. I'm not lying when I say that I adore my in-laws. I love getting to get to know Drew and Colton better, and talk baby with Erin. Erin, your bump is SO cute! But seriously, thank you for inviting me over. It makes me feel loved to know that you guys think of me. We so need to do that more often.

Tomorrow is Day #2 of no Ryan. Not really sure what I'll end up doing...probably just more cleaning, as always.

Sorry about the terrible picture quality. Ryan took the nice camera with him on his trip! Whatever will I do?!
Sucking her thumb, as always, and giving mommy lots of smiles. She was so happy that I didn't have to put her down

One of Lilly's newest things...grabbing onto hair...and HOLDING on. Giddy-up, mommy! I'm growing my hair out again, but considering how much she latches onto my hair, I may have to rethink that. She's just jealous that I have hair! :P

Went out to get the mail and ran into a leaf bug. No biggie. I was insanely terrified of getting this close for a picture, but I just had to. I hate bugs!

"Hey, Uncle Colton, look at my rattle! I can shake it now!" .... Just since last night, she's been shaking things widely. It's so funny! Oh, and Colton, you were super cute with her tonight. :D

Cousin Chester loved Lilly. He especially loved licking her bald head. Gonna have one of your own bald babies soon, Chester!
