In & Out

No, this post isn't about burgers....Yesterday was a whirlwind kind of day. Ryan and I had a meeting to go to in Provo, so we dropped Lilly off with Aunt Erin for a few hours. I had timed this meeting so imperfectly, since earlier that day I decided that I really wanted to go to IKEA...again. There was a mirror and some containers with my name on them. (I've been hunting for this exact mirror, but every store that I found it in wanted at least $150 for it.) My brain tricks me into panicking and getting anxious, thinking that there's only one in the whole store, and everyone on the planet must be going for the one thing I'm going for. I knew my anxiety about getting the mirror would drive me nuts (since last night was the only night this week that we were going to be able to go), so in order to shut me up, Ryan promised he'd try and get me there before they closed. Our meeting got out at 7:30, we ran to Erin's for the baby, chatted a bit, and were on the road by 8:30. IKEA closed at 9. We pulled up with 10 minutes before closing and ran inside. The experience wouldn't have taken so long if IKEA wasn't just a glorified maze. Turns out the mirror was at the END of the maze, in the warehouse, and the containers were in the checkout aisle. We would have been better just walking in through the exit. But we got our stuff and were out by closing! Woo!! That was the fastest shopping trip I've ever been on. And Lilly was all wrapped up in her jammy-jams, asleep in the stroller, so that made things easier. I'm so excited to move already! I've slowly been receiving all of the stuff that I ordered. I can't wait to start seeing our new bedroom come together. The mirror is going to be the perfect touch!!

Isn't this perfect for our damask bedroom??? I'm going to put it above our dresser...

My pantry is full of random bags of marshmallows, opened bags of sugar, brown sugar, and whatnot just piled on the top shelf. They are either always falling on me or drying out, so I thought this would be a better way to organize them. Who doesn't love new containers? I may have to get a few more.

Ordered this from Target. Gonna use it for my makeup

Hooks from Urban Outfitters. Plan on using them to hang keys by the front door.

Clearance Tiffany blue lamp shade from Pottery Barn. This is going in the living room. I got the matching rug to go with...gotta sell my current rug before I feel okay about that purchase. It's on a HUGE backorder, so I won't get it until November.
5X8 area rug. I have a wall stencil of the same Quatrefoil design, but I think I'm going to wait to use it for when we get a house...or maybe Lilly's room, since this is the same pattern that's on her crib bumper.

Yep, saw this on Pinterest and HAD to have. It's a glass jar that looks like an unzipped bag.  Got it here

These will probably go in the bedroom. I'm still trying to add more blue touches into the sea of black and white.
