Shenanigans

Just like I predicted, today was much better than yesterday. The glider and ottoman are now officially nice and cozy in the nursery. Yes, people, you heard it, the nursery is pretty much done. Just waitin' for baby now...

On top of the glider, Ryan finished our new in-home security system. I decided not to laugh or argue when he told me of his plans. He wanted to order some security cameras for the house, not necessarily for security purposes, while it is handy, it's mostly for Ryan to watch when the baby is here. He has expressed concern about me being at home 100% of the time and him at work 100% of the time. Missing milestones made him sad. We've had one of the cameras set up for the past few days, and Ryan's since ordered, received, and setup 3 more around the house and in the nursery. I have to admit, I feel paranoid every time I'm around one. I worry that Ryan's always tapped into it and spying on me. Especially since he can get the feed on any computer. They are quite the nifty cameras. They send and store constant feed onto an online backup system. Being wireless, even if they're unplugged or tampered with, they continue recording. Fool-proof and extra secure. Ryan's favorite, yet most hated feature is that they have motion sensors, that when triggered, start taking pictures. Those pictures are then immediately sent to Ryan and anyone of our choosing so that he can be alerted. All week, he's been getting random emails with pictures of the kitties being naughty. Especially at night. We are under STRICT policy that the cats do NOT get on the counters. But every single one of the pictures is of them breaking said rule, in return, triggering the cameras to take pictures. What's the next toy we're buying? Something to keep them off the counter...we found a nifty silent alarm that's supposed to scare cats. Posts on that fun to come later...

The box that the ottoman came in has now become Fort Kitty

Junie is very protective of Fort Kitty

This is one of the hundreds of pictures we're getting sent when the motion sensor is activated. I about died laughing. Willow jumped up onto the counter one night, and just couldn't get over this apparently very interesting speck. She just looks so curious and enthralled.
