Plumpin' Up

Ahh, the joys of pregnancy. I had blood pressure issues during my last prenancy. It almost caused me to have to deliver when I was 23 weeks, and then was the catalyst to being induced when I was. Luckily this time around, my blood pressure has been perfect! 120/80 every time! :D No more headaches, feeling loopy, and swollen legs…or so I thought. For the past week, my nightly routine has involved putting up my now VERY SWOLLEN piggies. My poor feet! Usually the swelling starts in the evening, but disappears by the morning. Not today! I had severely swelling feet at work yesterday (weird!) and then they got really bad when I got home. When I woke up this morning, I moaned when I could feel that they were still plump. Dangit! Work was most definitely unpleasant. The swelling got so bad, my toes started to lose circulation. My mom had to run out into the warehouse to find something for me to put them up on. While she was hunting, a co-worker and I rigged a file cart. It was nice at first: padded with my hoody, mobile because of the wheels…until we realized the only reason that it was in my cubicle in the first place was because someone broke it and then pushed it in the corner. So my relief didn’t last long. I find myself laughing. Is there seriously a SINGLE pregnancy symptom that I can get away with NOT experiencing? Severe morning sickness, nausea and aversions, PSD, pinched nerves in my back, heart burn, swollen appendages, crying outburst, mood swings…Baby girl just needs to be here already.

(Beached whale!!)

My momma tried to distract me from my misery by taking me out to lunch today. I had a lovey surprise waiting for me when I put on my glasses. She thought it was funny. Lunch was delicious...but when have I ever complained about Chinese food? All-in-all today was a better day, emotionally. I spent most of it with my iPod blasting "God Gave Me You," and trying to feel more positive about things. I think it worked. Oh, and in better news, the crib came today!! Now I get the entertainment of laughing at Ryan while he puts it together in a few weeks. :P

You know you're eating for two when you and your mom order the same exact thing, and she ends up taking half of it home and you finish it all.
