So Full

Today was the day I've been looking forward to for SO long. But I'm sad to say that it didn't start off so great. I couldn't sleep last night for several reasons, one of which was because my heartburn was out of control. Then at around 3, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep because of my anxiety. When I finally got up this morning, I ran downstairs to get something in my tummy because I was getting really sick from how empty it was. I forgot that I left a bowl of something in the microwave and decided to clean it. The second I started scooping out the food, I was hit with a rancid, garbage smell. I thought I'd at least have time to run to the bathroom. Nope. I got sick all over myself and the floor...dangit!! The last thing I wanted on the day that I'm supposed to have a strong stomach was a weak, wussy stomach. I decided not to eat anything else until dinner. My tummy hurt too much.

We spent all day at my mom's house. I helped her make dinner, and then we sat down to construct a "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" themed gingerbread house. It was so cute! I kind of wanted a nibble, but I resisted. Sadly I had to wait until 6 o'clock to eat anything, but it was most definitely worth the wait. As you can see in the picture below, my eyes were SO much bigger than my stomach. About half way through, I started to get upset with myself for putting so much food on my plate. But it was SO good. I am somewhat ashamed to say that I forced myself to finish it all. And I'm paying for it for sure. My mom is totally my hero!! She let me take home leftovers of everything. I think Ryan and I could probably eat for a week on what she let me take. I'm just hoping my tummy works with me a bit.

This Thanksgiving was one to remember. I got to spend time with my mom and my hubby; two of my best friends. I love them so much. This year I'm most thankful for family. Especially the little part of our family that we haven't gotten to meet yet. Our little family is so blessed and I know I find myself focusing on the negative too much, so I tried to focus on the good today. I have so many blessing in life!!

My mom gave up half way through and just started throwing stuff on.

My dog-sister, Snickers. She insisted on sitting on my lap and licking my face. Cute, but painful when my tummy is full of baby.

I've been dreaming of this for too long.
