Damask, Don't Tell

Many of you are probably wondering what the heck "Damask" is. Well, it's only THE best print/design in the WHOLE WORLD! I'm addicted to it! If you notice, my blog background was changed to green damask, in honor of this post. (I knew I'd be posting on it, so I preemptively set it yesterday). The other day I asked Ryan if I could have a present; a much-needed wifey present. I wanted a messenger bag because I hate carrying around my purse. I don't like always having to have it slung over my shoulder where it just slips down my arm, or having to have something in my hands all the time. Most of the time I get so sick of carrying the dumb thing, Ryan ends up doing it for me. And yes, he looks very pretty carrying around a purse. Ryan said yes to my demands, err, request, and let me find the perfect messenger bag. It took me a few hours of online hunting to find one that I loved and one that wasn't going to put us into debt. I was successful! It came today and I'm SO excited to take it on our trip to Seattle. Last time I was in Seattle, a homeless man tried to take my purse; a sign that this time I need to go prepared!

It's so cute & perfect! And it's not too big either. Ahh, I think I'm in love! (P.S. I thought it appropriate to take a picture of my damask messenger bag while it was sitting on my damask rug. Hehe!)

I posted this picture to show how deeply my addiction runs. I fell in love with this rug when I found it online, but the fact that it was in the UK and I would have to pay hundreds of dollars to have it shipped turned me off. But I didn't give up. I hunted for weeks trying to find it in the states. The price tag wasn't exactly cheep, but it was the foundation to all of my decorating...or we'll just call it madness. I can say right now that when we have a baby, if it's a girl, prepare yourself for the cutest damask themed nursery!!
