Bad day turns good

Yesterday evening and this morning were really terrible for me. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and decided that I deserved to sleep the day away. I find that my best drug for dealing with my depression is sleep. So I slept until noon, when Ryan texted me to see if I was alive. It was then that I decided to get up. About an hour later he showed up with lunch and a flower! He stopped at Bajio to get me my favorite meal: PORK SALAD!! He has no idea how much better it makes me feel when he does this. Taking time off of work because he feels that he needs to put his wife first is so sweet.

I had to finally show the infamous Bajio Pork Salad that I'm always talking about. I personally don't think this picture does it justice, but oh man, it's so yummy!

I HAVE to have my green Tabasco sauce when I have Bajio. I love the little kick it adds. Another random fact about Ryan and I. He can't stand anything hotter than BBQ sauce, and I love spicy foods. Again, opposites.

I decided to get creative with my flower and take some pictures. :D
I've always wanted to do a shot like this with my ring. The flower only adds to how amazingly gorgeous it is.
(click on the picture, it's so much better)

After lunch, he decided that I needed some fresh air. I can go days without leaving the apartment, and it's such a mood changer to have me go outside. He took me to Kohl's and bought me a few of my favorite lounge shirts. After that, we agreed that some kitty time would be beneficial. We went to two animal shelters to look at their kittens. I was convinced that if we found ANY kittens, we'd end up leaving with at least two. We found kittens, but they were either unadoptable due to being too young, or they were already spoken for. They were SO cute and fun to play with. We even had fun playing with the adult kitties..... I will admit that it was hard for me to be there. In order to get to the cats, we had to walk through all of the stray dogs. It was so sad to see all of them caged up. I just closed my eyes and walked as fast as I could. Unfortunately, I opened them right as I got to the last cage, and about screamed when I saw the HUGE Mastiff dog that was staring at me. He stood over 4 feet tall!!

Its poop was bigger than Angel! I can't imagine owning one of these!

This was one of my favorite adult cats. She had pretty blue eyes, and loved to talk whenever I stopped petting her. She even gave Ryan a few kisses. :P
