Wedding Bliss

Has it really been over a month since I've last posted? Sorry, friends in the blogging world! I definitely got caught up in all of the wedding stuff. I guess it's only fair to make it up to you by telling you how everything went.

The blur of images that floods my mind when I try to think back on the last month is intense. The wedding, the reception, the honeymoon. All WONDERFUL! The wedding day was perfect. It went by so smoothly, and need I say, quickly! There are a handful of moments from that day that stand out to me.

#1: bursting out in tears when we were pronounced husband and wife
#2: slow dancing with my dad and having him whisper how much he loved me, through tears, when the dance was over
#3: SEEING EASTON!!! It was nice to finally have everyone meet Easton and his parents.
#4: And my favorite memory of all; seeing my dad kiss Easton goodbye. Truly touching!

It was nice to finally see all of my months of hard work pay off. From the lanterns to the hundreds of homemade cupcakes (which sadly enough weren't eaten). My mom was there to make sure that all of the tiny details met my high standards, and it all looked absolutely beautiful.

The wedding day was amazing! The honeymoon was even more amazing. We went to Cancun. It took a fair bit of trouble to actually get there. We woke up at 3 am and arrived at the airport to find that our flight was canceled, due to snow in Dallas. We rebooked and prayed that our connecting flight wouldn't be missed. We arrived in Dallas and RAN to the next flight, only to miss it by minutes. So what if I looked like a baby when I started crying? haha. We FINALLY got into Cancun, and the $60 shuttle we paid for, weeks in advance, was no where to be found. After all that, we pulled up to the resort, wondering what the next hurdle would be. That's when the fun began. They upgraded us to a top floor suite, with ocean views, and its own jacuzzi. We had a blast. We went to Chichen Itza (the Mayan pyramid, also known as The 7th Wonder of the World), we went snorkeling (Ryan was cut up by coral, and I fell IN and OUT of the boat....twice!), and parasailing! It rained for the most part, so when the last day came around and there was sun, I looked at Ryan and said "I AM GETTING BURNED!" I insisted on coming home with color. We were both outside for 8 hours with NO sunscreen. Stupid idea? For the first day or so, yes, but now that I have a golden tan, TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

We're back and all moved in. We had one solid week of unpacking. I can say that I hope we stay here forever because I am SO sick of packing and unpacking! Bleh, no more!! Pictures of the apartment will be uploaded once the final OCD touches are added. May I add, we have a 3 and 5 year old living above us, and they're very good at getting up at 7:30 and staying up till 11:30....all the while running around screaming and, what I presume, jumping off all of the furniture. haha! Maybe a plate of cookies and a polite "SHUT UP" will do the trick. :P

Married life is amazing. It's everything I'd hoped it'd be and more. I can't wait to see where we go next. Right now I'm enjoying every second of life with my best friend and true love. :D

Warning: Overload of pictures. Hope you make it through to the end...
