He asked and I said YES!

Lots going on here! Where to start....

The past 5 weeks have been truly miserable without Ryan. It's hard to be alone and dealing with little trials in life. Accepting them and dealing with them was proving to get the best of me. Ryan decided that I needed a break from life and flew me down to Utah for the weekend. An added bonus was that we were going to surprise my mother. Every second until that time was ticking down so slowly. I was too anxious for my own good. I can't even tell you how amazing seeing him was. It was like a slow motion moment. We saw each other from 30 feet away, slowly walked/ran to each other and embraced. The smell and the feel of him were both things I was longing for. I literally sighed relief when his arms were finally around me again. We hugged and kissed, and then he said "before anything else goes wrong..." and he knelt down and proposed. It was truly amazing. My favorite part had to be the applause that broke out from all of my fellow travelers. These are some memories that I will carry with me forever! Did I mention how gorgeous my ring is? I keep doing the thing where I outstretch my hand and twist it around to make the ring sparkle. Seriously beautiful.

The weekend started out great. I was on top of the world. He took me back to his house and when I walked into my room, I found it stocked with all of my favorite goodies; Kit Kats, Golden Oreos, Pepsi, pretzel M&Ms. I seriously love this man! To top that off, he took me to Bajio for dinner!! I couldn't pay attention to how good it tasted because I couldn't stop looking into Ryan's eyes. If you ever want to feel the reassuring feeling of love, spend 5 weeks away from your love, because there's nothing better than the feeling of reuniting.

We didn't do anything especially grand for the weekend, just basked in the other's glory. Ryan made sure that I got to enjoy all of the things that I missed about Utah. We showed up at my mom's work for a surprise. The look on her face was priceless. If looks could talk, I think it was saying "what are you doing here?". She had fun walking me around and introducing Ryan and I as the "newly engaged couple.".... We just soaked up every second together. At one point, when I was thinking about having to leave, if we were apart for more than a few minutes, I started to feel sad. I couldn't let go of his hand.
Leaving was hard. Really hard. But I left feeling comforted in knowing that I was going to see him again and that the time apart wouldn't be as hard. I have an amazing life! I'm so blessed and I know it!

I seriously don't feel like I deserve all of the good things that have come into my life. Ryan is my biggest blessing and I love him more than anything. The wedding is exactly 4 months away! Can I scream? AHHHHHHHH!!
