Christmas

Christmas this year was the most stressful I've ever experienced. Not only were we anticipating the birth of the twins the day after Christmas, but we all got sick AND had several different Christmases with family. When I got home from the hospital, as I predicted, I got whatever bug was going around our house. That knocked me off my feet for a few days. I panicked a bit when I started to get a bad cough. All I could think about was how I'd be hacking up a lung right after having a c-section. Coughing after major abdominal surgery has to be #1 on my list of the most excruciating things I've done. Luckily for me, my cough went away the day before the surgery.

Anyway, we had Christmas with Jack and Susan on Sunday, Christmas with my step-family on Wednesday, and our own family Christmas on the day of. Add in a night at the mall, when Ryan sent me to the spa while he played with Lilly on the carousel, and a ton of last minute baby prep, and we were pooped out!

I think Lilly had a good Christmas (make that 3!). She had so many new toys, she didn't know what to do with herself. Mostly she just enjoyed having all of her cousins around to play with. Even though my gifts to Ryan were lame, all that mattered was that Lilly made good memories.

Trying to beat the cold before the babies. Willow was obsessed with the humidifier.

Sick picnic in bed

Lilly brought this home from preschool. This ornament will be on our tree for the next 20 years. I LOVED it.

Christmas #1, I asked her "what did you get?" and she said "I got one of these!!" Ha!

Enjoying my pedicure

Salt scrub all the way up my leg. SO nice!
