Growing Up

In the past 2 months, Lilly has reached so many milestones. It has me in awe sometimes when I think about how fast she's growing up. A few months ago, Ryan and I had discussed getting Lilly into a preschool before the twins came, so she'd have a happy, fun environment to escape to and get attention. We wanted it to happen before the twins, so she wouldn't feel like it was because of the twins that she was being "sent away." But we couldn't do that until she was potty trained. Well, with that being done, we picked out the perfect preschool for her to attend. She goes three half days a week, which will hopefully help when the babies come. She absolutely loves the place! They have dance time, coloring time, field trips (maybe), outdoor time, snacks, and they actually TEACH them. We're confident that this will be perfect for her.

Potty training, preschool, and lastly, a big girl bed. In order to free up the crib that Lilly's been using, we decided it was finally time to get Lilly a twin bed. We took advantage of some Black Friday sales, and got the full shebang! A cute bed frame will come when the house finally happens. When she first saw it all set up, she jumped in, said "I wanna go nigh-nigh, mommy!," and then pretended to sleep. She's so excited to sleep in it all the time. We were able to move the crib into the spare bedroom/junk room, where I'm attempting to set up a sort-of-nursery. It's not perfect, but it's nice to have a tiny space to put a crib, and a closet to hang some clothes. Nesting is hard when you don't have your own house.

Her first time in the new bed. She pretended to be asleep...with a giant grin on her face.
