E-I-E-I-O

I enjoy that Utah gets an "extra" holiday with Pioneer Day, but when your husband works for a company that doesn't give its employees the day off, it kind of sucks. So, our Pioneer Day was just like any other day, and we had to celebrate that evening. I'm kind of glad we did. We decided to go visit my step-dad at work at Wheeler Farm. It was MUCH cooler and a lot less packed than it would have been if we went during the day.

Lilly loved getting to see all of the animals. She mooed at the cows, talked sweetly to all of the baby animals, and even braved kissing a horse. The only thing that upset her was when that horse stole mommy's map. I was leaning in to kiss the horse on the nose, when he grabbed my map out of my hand, ripped it, and then tossed it aside. Everyone but Lilly thought it was hysterical, but Lilly was really upset. She keeps talking about how the "horsey took mommy's paper".

What I loved most about this outing was that it was free. I think we'll be spending a lot more time there.

She thought it was pretty cool that Snickers got to ride in the car
