Lagoon Day

On Thursday of last week, Ryan and I got to spend the day at Lagoon with everyone from his company. We were initially going to take Lilly with us, but after how difficult the Seattle trip was, we just needed a day to ourselves. So, Jack and Susan volunteered to take Lilly to a water park for the day. I think she had more fun than we did.

Jack sent me this picture and asked for permission to take Lilly down the purple slide. He said she really liked it.

I had initially backed out of the day at Lagoon. I've been so sick lately, I knew I'd spend all day avoiding coasters and embarrassing Ryan with my vomiting. He convinced me to go, and I'm glad I did. I was playing a game of "let's see how many rides I can go on before I get sick." I set some guidelines, though. There are a handful of rides that made me sick before I was even pregnant, so I crossed those off my list. I also packed several peanut butter sandwiches for me to munch on, since I get sick when I'm hungry. I did really well with all the big coasters, and, believe it or not, it was the Ferris wheel that did me in. After that, I just sat and people watched while Ryan enjoyed the rides on my naughty list.

Ryan's the little green guy in the center of the picture. This was my #1 "don't ride" ride.

Lagoon is the only place that I can get my all-time favorite meal. Teriyaki chicken bowl from Teriyaki Stix!! I think this is what was the catalyst for being too sick to ride anymore. I only ate about 3 bites, and then had to carry it around with me the whole day. Would I do it again? No.

His company provided dinner. This is my little glutton husband and his THREE burgers. Don't worry, he didn't eat them all. He just wanted to take some home for Jack and Susan.
