Impromptu Easter Pictures

We had a free Saturday and semi-happy baby, so we decided last minute to take some Easter/family pictures on Temple Square. Photo credit goes to my mom-ographer. The drive to the temple had us hopeful that Lilly would share some of her smiles and silliness, but only 1 picture attempt in, and she'd already had enough. Every picture was like pulling teeth. Getting this baby to sit still, look at a camera, NOT cry, and maybe give up a smile, was asking the impossible. I guess we're to blame, since we basically set her loose in a field of grass, with lots flowers and colorful, distracting things. Mom took about 500 pictures, and we were only able to get a handful of decent ones. Oh well, it was spontaneous and fun. Afterwards, since we were all on edge and starving from chasing Lilly around, we had lunch at the Lion House.

Thumbs up for taking pictures!!

EVERY single picture attempt ended with a tantrum.
This one was my favorite. I got her this adorable cream coat at Target.

Comforting her after another fit.

Getting up to smell the flowers. Her version of "smelling" the flowers is basically just her wrinkling her nose up into a disgusted look, and touching the flower to her nose. It's adorable.

The first picture we took. That glare should have been warning for what was to come.

This wasn't a pose. We were both just watching on as Lilly frolicked happily through the grass.

Group hug! She LOVES when both of us give her a hug at the same time.

I brought some Easter eggs and her stuffed lamb, hoping to theme the pictures a bit, but she wouldn't cooperate.

This picture is priceless. This is totally candid, and shows exactly how the entire day went. Mom, laughing as I struggled to keep my patience between each tantrum. Lilly, screaming every time we tried to get her to stay still. And me, rolling my eyes and saying "fine, I give up" in frustration.

Grandma snuggles.
