I'll be the first to admit that I complain a lot about how I hate that my weekdays and my weekends feel exactly the same. I get sick and tired of every day being the same. Ryan has been trying really hard to bring some change into our weekends, to, what I assume, get me to stop complaining. Ha! He took it upon himself to plan a hike for today. We invited Granny B last second and set off on an adventure...
What Ryan had told us was an "easy" hike, turned out to be about a mile of uphill. It wasn't bad, it was just hard to take our time and enjoy ourselves, when all we wanted to do was curse Ryan. Seriously, it wasn't that bad. I just felt bad that it was hard on mom's sore feet. We survived and made it to the waterfall at the end. On our way back down, we let Lilly out, and she had a blast getting to wander freely among the rocks.
On our drive back home, I noticed a sign outside a little flower shack, that said "If your name is Lily, come in for a free flower". Of course I made us stop. I thought it was so awesome! Lilly got a free carnation, and mom ended up buying me a cute bouquet of sweet peas and carnations. Man, I sure do love my momma! To say thank you for coming along with us on our torture hike, we took her out to lunch at Zupas, and then sent her on her way home to take a nap.
Both Lilly and I went straight down for a nap when we got home. I think I got a solid 3 hour nap, before I had to leave to meet up with mom for the Women's Broadcast. Lilly was still sleeping when I left. The broadcast was awesome, and I was glad to watch with my mom. Afterwards, I treated her to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes, where we both indulged in some guilty pleasures. But our husbands weren't there, so shhhhh.

We decided to play at the park while we waited for my mom to show up. Lilly treated Bear-bear to a ride on the swing.

Forget the fact that there was a perfectly good bridge not 3 feet from him, he decided to walk through the creek.

While we waited for Ryan to get back, we took some selfies....am I sweating?! Oh, and I probably should have worn some makeup. Bleh!
