Today was the day that I was dreading. To my surprise, it was a splendid day of traveling. We got up bright and early at 4 AM. That wouldn't have been so bad, if I hadn't gotten to bed until after 11, and then been woken up several times because Lilly wanted to burst out crying during the night. My dad knocked on the door to wake us up at 4, and Lilly immediately jumped up and said "hi!" She was rearing to go!
We got to the airport, and man was I glad that we had gotten there so early. It felt like everyone on the planet was there. We had to keep walking and walking to find the end of the check-in line.I would say there was a good 200+ people in front of us. While we were waiting in line, I could tell that the agents at the counter were a little stressed. There was one in particular that kept yelling at people, saying things like "NEXT!! HELLO?! Is anyone paying attention?! I CAN HELP THE NEXT CUSTOMER DOWN HERE!" and "SIR, please put your bag on the scale!" I turned to my dad and remarked how I hoped we didn't get her....well, we did. Let's just say, the experience wasn't fun.
We finally made it to security, and had the same ridiculous line to stand in. I was flying through the line pretty quickly, when a man mentioned that they had a family boarding line, so I left the line and headed over to that line. Big mistake! The family boarding line, while not very long, wasn't moving at all! I could have made it through the regular line several times over if I had just stayed. Oh well. Dad stayed by my side the whole time, and waved me goodbye once I made it through. I could tell he was sad that we were going. I won't lie, it breaks my heart when I have to leave family, and even moreso when I have to take Lilly from them. Who knows when we'll see him again?
I got to my gate with 20 minutes to spare. I grabbed Lilly some juice at the little store, grabbed a stroller tag, and before I knew it, we were boarding. The flight was EMPTY! There were probably only about 20 people in a huge plane. I saw the Lord's hand in lots of things that happened today. One of which was the fact that we got our own row to ourselves. I was worried Lilly would be cranky, and that I'd spend the whole flight having to apologize to other passengers. But having her in her own seat made it so easy. She loved reading Sky Mall Magazine, and playing with the girl behind us. We got our pretzels and juice (yes, she stuffed them all in her mouth again), and then she conked out for the remainder of the flight. We both slept! I woke up when the pilot was informing us that we were making our final decent. Seriously, this flight could not have been easier. Tender mercies!!
It was so nice to be back home. We were happy when we found daddy. As I've said before, the spot where the terminal spills out into the baggage claim, is my favorite spot in the world. It's the spot where Ryan got down on one knee and proposed. It was almost surreal to me when all three of us were standing in that same spot. I know, I'm cheesy.
Once home, we fed everyone, and then Lilly and I went down for a nap. I was SOOOO happy to be back in my very own bed. My dad likes his bed as hard as a rock, in fact, I think he'd prefer sleeping on the floor, so I had lots of weird back pain every morning when I woke up...I slept a solid 3 hours before I decided to relieve Ryan of baby duty. He played with Lilly while I unpacked. Best decision ever was deciding to do laundry yesterday, so that all I had to do was hang everything, instead of doing 4 loads of laundry when I got home. As always, everything is back to normal, the house is clean, and we're getting back into routine. Ryan did a good job of keeping the place clean. I was super surprised when I went to take my nap, and the bed was made. I have a good hubby. The best part about being home is that I can walk around in my undies again! Ha!
Silly fact. I was in Seattle for 10 days, and we didn't see a single drop of rain. I was back home in Utah for less than a day, and we had a downpour! I love the rain, so I wasn't upset that it was stormy, but I was surprised when Seattle went against all its stereotypes.

| Yeah. This picture speaks for itself. Apparently Sea/Tac was the place to be today. |

| Once she finished Sky Mall, she made sure to read through the safey information pamphlet. |
