I have been having a hard time sleeping lately. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm anxious and worried about our family pictures today and planning Lilly's birthday party. Something just keeps me from sleeping past 6. I feel fine, though. So, here I am, Saturday morning, blogging while everyone else is still sleeping. Something is definitely wrong!
Our Friday was great! Since I was up at 6, I showered before Ryan even got up, did dishes, kitty litter, and tidied up the house all before 7! Then I babysat all day. You'd think I would have been more tired than I was. The kids were great...no more coin swallowing. Ben fell asleep in the middle of the living room while we watched a movie. I actually got about 15 minutes of childless time before Lilly woke up from her nap. I think that's a new record!
After work, I made my manly man a very manly dinner of meat and tators...actually, meatloaf, potatoes, and salad. It was scrumptious! Lots of leftovers for me! Once Lilly was in bed, we spent the night watching shows and beading. I'm prepping a very intense bead post. Eventually I'll have it done, but until then, just know that we have lots of fun projects going. I don't think we have enough wall space to hang all of our stuff in the nerd cave.
Today we are having Lilly's one year pictures and some family pictures taken. To say that I've been trying to make it perfect is an understatement. I've been shopping for the perfect, matching outfits, planning out every last detail, and stressing about it for weeks. I'll be much happier once today is over. I still have to pick up the cake for her cake smash, and grab a bunch of balloons...without her popping them all. Now that I think about it, the car ride with baby and balloons should be interesting. Wish us luck!

She loved Ben and Adele's teddy bears. I think I know what someone needs for their birthday!

Every time I look at this picture, I think of the movie Despicable Me. We watch it literally every single time I babysit...sometimes 3 times in a row! "It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!!"

Ben is wearing his favorite "Cars" boots and his Spiderman jammies. He wears those every time I babysit. I guess you can say I defeated Spiderman with sleep!!
