Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL?!

For previous Super Bowl Sundays, I always loved that my mom threw parties. We didn't care much for the football, mostly the commercials. For me, food was what I was most excited about. I'm all-American when it comes to chips, dips, and soda. But this year, I was bummed. Didn't care about the football...couldn't eat the food....I guess I was there for the commercials. Which were pretty lame, by the way. Despite not being able to eat most everything that was at my mom's party, we came together to make a few things that we saw on Pinterest. Now we're the mother-daughter Pinterest team!!

I made pizza roll-ups out of Pillsbury crescent rolls, and a football field out of dips. On top of both of those delicious foods, my mom made football Rice Krispie treats, chicken wings, and ribs. Just like always, my mother was thinking about others first when she bought un-breaded wings for me to eat. Well, winG (in the singular) since that's all my tummy can hold. I did eat a little of the mango peach salsa, since it's my favorite. It didn't even matter to me that I couldn't have it on a chip. It's funny the things I'll eat plain, when I've been deprived of deliciousness for so long. The hardest food to turn down was the soda. As hard as giving up carbs has been, it's the soda that I have the hardest time with. I can eventually introduce the carbs back into my diet in about a year. The soda is something that I'm not allowed to drink EVER again. I'm never going to get over that. Anyway, we had fun munching and "watching" the game. The guys went down to the theater to watch the game, while the girls and babies stayed upstairs and talked mom-talk. I'm sure they wouldn't have appreciated all of the breastfeeding talk that was going on. Ha!

Oh, and when we got home from my mom's, we discovered that, YET AGAIN, someone parked in our assigned spot. We called our landlord to have the car towed, and she says that we're the only people that are having that problem. Seriously, why do people think it's okay to park in a spot that has a giant number on it? Obviously it's designated to someone. And what it is about OUR spot that's so intriguing? It's not close to anything, it's sandwiched between two big cars, making it hard to park...Ugh. I hope they stay long enough to get towed. Getting revenge is a small joy in my life. Haha, just kidding.
