It's the 8th of the month again! (the BEST 8th is in January). How has Lilly changed over the last month? This has been the biggest month of change for her yet. She now has two teeth, can roll like no one's business, is starting to pull up and stand on her own, is
thinking about crawling (if she can avoid face-planting it), loves to clap, is learning baby sign language, is learning how to wave "bye bye" (right now she waves to herself, not the person saying "bye bye." Baby steps!), is finally starting to sprout some darker, thicker hair, is learning how to give kisses (right now it's just grabbing you by both cheeks, opening her mouth wide, and then sucking on your face), takes THREE naps in her crib each day without complaint (LUCKY! Lilly, mommy's jealous), and is starting to recognize specific people. Stranger danger is now very apparent. Although it makes me sad to see her scared of other people, it makes me feel loved when she reaches her arms out for me. Just me. Nothing makes me feel like a mother, more than that.
Some of her favorite things are trying to chew on remotes and cell phones (the two things we refuse to let her have), grabbing at the cats (she has a death grip that scares any animal in sight), playing with mommy's hair (it fascinates her and sometimes gets her to laugh), blowing raspberries (really just spitting drool everywhere), pulling off her socks for an afternoon snack (last night she actually managed to punch herself in the face when the sock finally came off), playing with Dolly (she seems to know that it's a little baby, and she talks to it, gives her kisses, and pokes her eyes...just like she does with daddy), chewing on tables when in a high chair, fake crying and coughing for attention, talking to the baby monitor because she knows mommy and daddy are watching and laughing on the other end, trying to roll off the changing table (I think she's just proud of the fact that she can finally roll, and doesn't really care that most of the times she's inches from death), laughing after she sneezes (every single time!), quietly talking to herself, saying "dada, dada, dada," in a whisper while we're in the car (someone has to keep her entertained), scooting over to her toy basket, tipping it over, and playing with every single toy until she gets to the bottom, and last but not least, she LOVES to rough house and walk with daddy.

| Just had to share the toy basket picture. She really will sit here forever, playing with each toy until she doesn't have anymore in the basket. |
