I'd like to thank my step-dad for introducing me to the realm of sweet/spicy salsas. Every time I go over to my mom's house, I end up eating them out of this salsa. Now that I live close to a Costco, I can finally use my membership. Each week I go in just for the salsa and a bag of tortilla strips. I get a huge jug of it for only $4! The checkout lady must think I'm having a party or something, if that's all I'm going in for. My only issue is that, in reality, I HATE peaches and mangos. GO FIGURE! I tend to scoop around the fruit in search of the peppers and tomatoes. I only like the fruit aspect of the salsa because it makes it sweet.
After realizing how much I was wasting, I kind of wished I'd had a small food processor. That way I could buzz everything together into small pieces, and I wouldn't notice that I was actually eating fruit...I'm such a child! So I did just that. Walmart had a tiny 1.5 cup processor for only $10! Score! Since using it, I now eat the entire serving, not just the good stuff. I've even converted Ryan. He's even worse than me. He just dips his chips, no scooping, no chunks at all (and only regular, non-spicy salsa. He hates the peach-mango stuff) So now whenever we have chips and salsa, I'm going to have to stick it in the food processor. Wow, we really are childish. Ha! Anyway, the moral of this post is...try this salsa! 'Tis awesome!
