New Experiences

We've had this day planned for a while now. After we went to Manti last month, I was super anxious to get back to do a session. We recruited Jack as our temple buddy, and took off bright and early to get a start. Compared to last weekend's 5+ hour car trip with a mad baby, this 2 hour, quiet drive was much more tolerable. It was such a great session. The Telestial room is by far my favorite. I was in awe! I hope we can go back and spend more time. Lilly had a fun time with grandma and grandpa, getting to shop and nap all day. I'm jealous!

Of course, my bad luck had to follow me. Quite humorously this time though. As we were walking up the hill to the temple, I was wearing some very uncomfortable sandal heels and trust me, I was complaining the whole time. I stepped onto one of the tar lines in the pavement, and before I knew it, my shoe was taken right off my foot, glued to the hot, melty tar. Ryan and I were holding hands, so when I stopped to grab my shoe, he just kept pulling me along, acting like my whining and asking him to stop was just me being "dramatic" about something. It was funny. Not so funny when I got inside and realized the short walk gave me big blisters under both of my big toes. Then, as we were walking out of the temple, I decided just to take them off to relieve some of the pain. It was still super hot outside, so I ended up running all the way back to the car because the pavement was scalding my feet. Ryan and Jack had fun laughing at me. My poor piggies had a hard day! On our way home, we stopped at one of Jack's highly recommended diners. It's called "T-Cee's" The shakes were to die for, and I couldn't get enough of my chicken sandwich and curly fries. MMMM!! Yes, I threw my diet out the window today. Speaking of which, both my mom and Jack said that they could see that I was losing weight...unprompted, may I add. It's always such an amazing feeling when people say stuff like that. So thanks, mom! P.S. You're looking pretty stick thin too!

You're probably thinking "Natalie, why is this picture such poor quality? And why did you only get this one picture?" Well, the answer to both questions would be...BECAUSE I'M A DUMB BLONDE! I forgot to put the memory card back in the camera after using it last (it won't take pictures without one), so we had to use Ryan's phone. It's okay, at least I got one.
