An entire day of spoiling my hubby! I'm sure he thought I was pranking him when I woke up and reminded him that we had a dentist appointment this morning. That made me feel like a bit of a party pooper, since I had told him he could sleep in and I'd make him breakfast. Too bad we forgot about the dentist appointment until right at the last second. We simply can't push it out any longer, Ryan! We both had our last dentist appointment back in January, and the experience was so painful, we've both been flossing, brushing, and swigging mouthwash every day since, all in an effort to avoid the torture that we endured last time. Well, it would seem that our plan worked. I was in and out in about 40 minutes (of what took me well over an hour last time due to how much scrapping went on), and Ryan was even shorter. No cavity club! Yay!
After the dentist, our second day of birthday fun began.
On the way home, I stopped off to grab Ryan 2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. I was planning on running out to grab them by myself, but since we were already out and about, I figured I'd just get them. So, to keep my surprise intact, I made Ryan close his eyes as I went into the only gas station near us that offers fresh Krispy Kreme donuts, made him cover his eyes as I carried them from the car to the house, and yelled at him every time I even thought he looked over at me. It got to the point of me making him hide upstairs while I constructed them into his birthday cake. Just like every other thing I do, I stole this idea from Pinterest. I saw it a LONG time ago and tucked the idea away as something I had to do for Ryan's birthday. It looked pretty dang cute if you ask me. I was even able to find Lego candles to nerdify it some. To accompany his monster donut cake, I asked Ryan what he wanted for breakfast. His answer..."meat". Eggs? No. French toast? No. Pancakes? No. Just meat. Thick-cut bacon and sausage patties it was! He ate every last bit of it, too. I made myself some McMuffin-style eggs and cooked up the rest of the Canadian bacon, and since we didn't have any English muffins, I just had an open-faced eggs Benedict sort of sandwich thingy. It was yummy.
After a quick nap for me, we left Lilly with my mom while we went to see "The Dark Knight Rises" on the IMAX screen. Yes, I'll admit that I am still scared of movie theaters. Another silent prayer for safety was said before the movie. I spent the last week monitoring movie times, waiting for them to post today's times, just so that I could have first pick of seats. I had assumed that it would be busy. I was the first person to get them! Well, lucky for us, we were two of about 6 people in the entire huge IMAX theater. Best seats in the house, not a single person near us, feet up on the seats, spilling into the seats next to us...yeah, that was my version of a good time. And the movie was amazing too. BUT! The night was not over! We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner. I'd never been, so I was quite excited to see if it was as good as Ryan had been telling me. It was indeed. I particularly enjoyed the fried macaroni balls. YUM!
Phew, what a day. No, what a WEEK! We've had so much going on, I'm just so glad it's over. Tomorrow we both get to relax the day away with our new friends, Kelly & Ben. I can tell we're going to be great friends. Ryan and Ben are planning on gaming the day away, and Kelly and I are tackling some of our Pinterest craft ideas. Here's to hoping we succeed!

| Sitting in the dentist chair. Did you really think I'd pass up the opportunity to take a picture for my blog? |
 |
| We survived! Pretty teeth! |
 |
| haha, he's cross-eyed |

| A heart attack waiting to happen |
 |
| Trust me, there's order to this maddness. |

| I especially liked that the Macaroni Grill covered the table in paper and provided crayons for doodling. This was Ryan's drawing. I'm not really sure why he's running away from us... |

This was my drawing. Our little family is so cute!

| Fried macaroni balls with truffle dipping sauce. I definitely recommend these. |

| I decided to try something different than what I usually order at Italian restaurants. It's spaghetti carbonara with a poached egg on top. The freshly made pasta was to die for! |

| Blowing out the candle on his FREE dessert. He even had a darling waiter sing happy birthday to him in Italian....to which he laughed at when we were leaving because he said he pronounced everything wrong. Oh well, I loved it! |
 |
| "Nanny loves Ryan" Yep, I sure do! Happy birthday, my love. I'm so glad we got to celebrate together |
