Ryan asked me if I wanted to go and do something. I didn't know how to respond. I felt like a person living their last day of life. What do I do? Do I go home and finish the chores that I started this afternoon? Do I go home and sleep? Do I take Ryan up on his offer, and go out and spend tons of money? In the end, we did a mixture of all three. We stopped off at the grocery store and bought a bunch of candy-by-the-pound, downloaded a scary movie, and are snuggling up to enjoy a night of terror and sugar highs...I'm hoping at some point we'll have an intermission to make s'mores. I was craving them after the 4th of July.
What am I going to do tomorrow for my "day off"? Well, first I'm going to sleep as long as my body will let me. I can picture it now...Ryan's already left for work, the kitties have moved into the warm spot that he left behind, no screaming baby, a bed to stretch out in. I get chills just thinking about it. After that, I think I'll take a LONG shower, since I usually rush through it to beat Lilly to her first fit of the day. I know I may get slapped for this, but I would really love to put on either a movie or my iPod and just clean all day. Yes, I'm beyond insane for doing so, but it sounds somewhat relaxing for some reason. Tuck in a nap or two, some mindless TV, and there you have it!
On a serious note, I would really like to thank Jan and Kevin for always offering to watch Lilly. I know it's not that hard to say no when she looks at you and gives her flirty smile. We so appreciate you gifting us with an evening here and there to spend together. Believe it or not, we actually feel stronger as a couple and parents when we have a night alone. So, thank you! Lilly has the best grandparents ever!!
