Lilly Screams For Ice Cream

Being cooped up in the house all week became too much tonight, so I begged Ryan to take me out. I didn't care what we did, I just needed to see the sky. We agreed that ice cream sounded like a good treat during this summer inferno, so we packed up baby and ran to Cold Stone. When we pulled up, I was getting out of the car when I suddenly heard this heart-wrenching scream come from the backseat, followed by hysterical crying. Ryan had poked his head into Lilly's car seat and said "Hey baby!" and ended up scaring the daylights out of her. She was screaming, but daddy was laughing. Apparently she makes an adorable terrified face? Mommy came to the rescue and pulled her out to comfort her. I told Ryan that he had to apologize by buying her an ice cream. She was perfectly content staring at all of the colors of ice creams while we waited in line. I actually enjoyed getting to hold her...usually she's locked up in the car seat. Plus, we get lots of compliments about how adorable she is. She's cute and she knows it! Unfotunately, she didn't get any ice cream, but Ryan ended up apologizing by holding off on eating his ice cream while he feeds her. I told you, Ryan! ALWAYS apologize with food. It works every time!!

I think we're going to send baby off to bed, and then enjoy a movie and ice cream. I'm so glad it's the weekend!

German chocolate cake ice cream! YUM!

She's still upset that daddy didn't get her ice cream.

Lilly had a cranky day, so this was the only thing I could do to get her to calm down. This is what Ryan found when he came home from work.
