SuperWife

That's right. I'm tootin' my own horn. I was faced with a crossroads today, and I'm proud of myself for picking the right one! It was either stay in bed, mope, and sleep all day OR get up and clean every single nook and cranny of the house. I chose the latter. I didn't just vacuum and do a few dishes either. I did all of those little, annoying things that I put on my mental list of things to eventually get around to. Here's the complete list of everything I did:

I unloaded the dishwasher, loaded it, took everything off the counter top and cleaned it (it's surprising how much of a greasy layer can cover everything after awhile), cleaned out the fridge, vacuumed all of the crumbs out of the baking pan cabinet, vacuumed the utility closet, vacuumed the kitchen, mopped the kitchen, did kitty litter (with a mask), vacuumed and mopped the bathroom that the litter bins are in, scrubbed both bathrooms, dusted, vacuumed every other room in the house, mopped the entry way, cleaned greasy goop off the front door, cleaned cat hair off of the couch, Fabreezed the couch, vacuumed the stairs, emptied the garbage can, sprayed for bugs, decluttered the bedroom, made the bed, did a load of whites, colors, and bathroom towels AND put them away, and made a birthday card. I'm probably missing a few, but you get the point. I got in bed, hoping to take a nap, but then I got even more productive. I had a few emails to write, calls to make, and some chatting with the husband to do. I had to get up to change loads of laundry, and OH MY GOSH! My body stiffened up so badly, I almost cried with how painful my ligaments and back were. It's okay. I've said it before, I can always tell how productive I've been by how intense my pain is. There's still another load of laundry and some grocery shopping to do. You may call me Superwife! And my side kick...Pinky the vacuum!

In other good news, I got the closure I needed last night. As I was trying to unwind (playing on my iPod), I got an email that made me gasp. One of those emails that you're hoping for, but terrified to open. It was everything I needed it to be. Of course, that meant absolutely no sleep, lots of tossing and turning (more than usual), and lots of anxiety about what to do. I've decided to do the RIGHT thing. I literally can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm going back to work...yes, where I just quit. I apologized to everyone, yes EVERYONE *grumble grumble*, and swallowed my pride. I realized that sitting at home, being bitter, isn't going to pay the bills. I can more than easily go back and be professional for a couple of weeks. I truly beg you for your prayers. I'm about to dive into a world of being uncomfortable, and will need all the strength I can get. Wish me luck!

Meet my sidekick! I got this vacuum as a gift when I moved off to college. It's saved my bacon on many occasion. You'd think it's just a dinky little vacuum, but it's actually a really good vacuum. I generally only use it for hard surfaces (wood floors, tile, etc, etc) as it doesn't have spinners to sweep up hair or large debris off carpets. I love this thing!

Willow has an addiction to the smell of Fabreeze. Every single time I spray the couch, she runs up, rolls around the fresh-smelling cushions, and then starts licking them. It's as if it gives her a high or something. I thought it was so funny, I tried to get a video of it today. Sadly, I couldn't. Instead, she just walked back and forth, and left little paw prints all over. But eventually I will get my evidence, and then I'll send it to Fabreeze to show them their number one fan.
