I propose that the worst feeling in the entire world is waking up to the sound of a snow blower. It ruins my day before it even begins. That was how today started. I dreaded a repeat of yesterday. I made it to work without much incident. The roads were terrible, and I was thankful that I wasn't involved in one of the many accidents that I saw. Our systems at work are still struggling, so I was rendered completely useless, but I couldn't leave work until one very important thing happened...MY PHONE!! I called in about my insurance last night, and they overnighted a replacement. I finally have a phone again! Then I was able to go home early. Once home, I attempted a nap, but unfortunately, another one of the worst sounds in the world is all of the annoying, out of control neighbor kids having a snowball fight in your front yard. My windows and front door kept getting hit and I kept getting woken up. Not to mention, the kids were totally inappropriate and yelling profanities at each other the entire time. I never knew parents would be okay with their kids having such potty mouths. Rule number one: NEVER wake up Nanny from her nap; it won't end well. (Only Ryan gets to wake me up without me getting mad...mainly because he does it with a kiss and sweet whispers) It only took one angry call to management to get them to stop. But by that time, my nap was completely ruined.
Ryan worked late today, so he didn't come home until about 7:30. He surprised me with two gorgeous white lilies. We sat in bed and had a nice heart-to-heart, and then he asked me if he could take me out to Chinese food. Suffice it to say, my face was swollen from crying (I'm too emotional these days), so I felt pretty ugly the entire time. Good thing my hubby kept reassuring me that the only person that mattered, him, thought I was beautiful. Awe. Dinner was just what I needed, and now we're at home watching our shows. We've recently gotten hooked to the show "Chuck.".....I think I'll sleep well tonight....
