Have you ever just randomly had that voice inside your head warn you about something you've been pondering for a while? That happened to Ryan and I today. We went out to get into the car when we noticed that the back seemed a little low. It could be that we have a trunk full of cinder blocks. It could be that Mrs. Fatty Pregnant Pants drives the car. It could be a dying suspension. Who knows!? But we made the official decision to not risk it, and go with our gut feeling. Committing to finally buying a much-needed new car just had to happen. We've been talking about it a lot, but it just felt right today. When we got to work, Ryan worked it into the budget, and all we had to do was find one that we liked. My priority: spacious. Ryan's priority: gas mileage. We were able to find a 2009 Nissan Versa that we liked. It's got tons of room inside. So much, that when the car salesman was in the driver's seat, I was in the passenger seat, and Ryan was in the back behind the guy, my 6'4" Ryan still had 4 inches of leg room. It was so nice! And the gas mileage? 34/40 MPG. Sold! We were even more surprised when we were preapproved for a tiny monthly payment. I'd like to thank my mom for teaching me how to keep good credit, because without it, the car wouldn't have happened. For now, Ryan is driving the car. I'm too worried about crashing it. Luckily for us, it has 6 years of warranty on it. I'm just nervous about new cars. Anyway, it was too dark to take any pictures, so I found one online. Ours is dark, navy blue with black interior. It has a nifty key-less remote system, so we don't ever need a key. When compared to the Lexus, it doesn't leak from the roof, the CD player works, my seat belt fits, and it has blue tooth features. Only 38K miles and one previous owner...a company that lent it to their salesmen. If we don't like it, we have 5 days to change our mind. But so far, I can't complain :D
P.S. Yay for post #300! Only 65 to go!
