Three Musketeers

Today was SO tiring. I don't know why, but I can't sleep in past 7:30 on the weekends. So tired, but too sore to sleep. But this morning, most of it was anxiety. We had round 3 of the 4D ultrasound. I was worried that the baby wouldn't turn or that, yet again, the quality of the video would still be like looking through drunk goggles. We invited my mom this time. She was coming over to help us paint and set up the crib, so we figured we would let her come over early and try to see the baby. We drove all the way down to the Gateway, only to walk into the facility and have them tell us "the machine hasn't been fixed. Would you just like a refund?" All I heard was "we didn't want to fix the machine, just for you, so here's your money, now get out!" I was glad to get the refund. I still couldn't guarantee that the baby had moved, and I was getting sick of doing this EVERY weekend. We got our sneak peek, so we'll just be patient and wait to see her in person. But I ask you this...would it have been so hard for them to call us, instead of making us drive all the way out?

I was glad that the time for painting the nursery was now upon us. I was going to paint while Ryan and my mom set up the crib. It couldn't have been that easy. We needed to touch up some paint spots from last week's base coat, so we went to Lowe's to get some paint swatches, ran home and matched them, then sent Ryan out to get the paint and some wood planks to reinforce our bed. Then while he was out, we called him and asked him to bring us lunch. All the while, we were at home, painting a mural. I had a vision! Ryan got home an hour later with food, wood, and paint, so we took a break for some Costa Vida, and then went right back to work. But not on the nursery. We needed to fix our bed first. After the bed was fixed, and now 2 inches taller for my crippled body to crawl in, work on the crib began. We were missing a bunch of little dowels, so Ryan had to run to Lowe's AGAIN. Every time I sent him out, I felt really bad. But he later admitted that he enjoyed getting to drive the new car. As I was finishing my mural, my mom was moving crib pieces around, and we both died laughing when the missing dowels fell out of a hidden slot in the box. Oops! Before Ryan could get home, I had finished my mural and my mom had finished the crib. It looked SO amazing! So good, I almost just want to post pictures and show everyone already. The room is cleared of painting supplies, has the crib in place, and has the mural done. On Wednesady, we'll get the crib bumper and some more curtains, followed by the dresser. I can't wait to see how it all fits. And I can't wait to show all of my blogging buddies...So thank you, mom & Ryan, for being an awesome pair to work with. Go us!!

Oops! Got a little smudge there...
