Resolutions

I am fully aware the New Year has passed and the time for making resolutions has probably gone with it, but last night Ryan and I decided to make a few. I didn't bother making a personal list because, come on, I never keep them, but I have been pondering what they would be if I thought I could stick with them. Of course, after the baby comes, I'll be all about getting into better shape and working out. I was set on doing that while pregnant, but my many pains make it impossible to even consider. Ryan and I have decided to try and get better at reading our scriptures EVERY night (sometimes we fall asleep before we get the chance), and not just reading them, we want to discuss each chapter after we read it. We decided on an increase in personal scripture study, LOTS more FHE (we just did it yesterday for the first time in a long time, and it was awesome), and to try and increase our number of temple visits.

The only thing that I like about the new year and a passing anniversary is the feeling that you can start over and try better. A new slate, so to speak. With each new sunrise, my new day fills me with joy and excitement for the future. So now begins a new chapter; getting closer to the Lord, while getting closer to each other. Wish us luck!
