This is kind of a long story, but I'm going to tell it anyway, and I expect anyone who's done this before to tell me, so that I don't feel so dumb. Okay, so as I've said before, I've been shopping around online and compiling a registry. It's not really a registry, it's more of a list of things that
I'm going to buy, just all in one place. After several failures, I realized that I must have amazing taste, because everything I wanted was sold out. And not just sold out, not ever being sold again, no restocking, S-O-L. I found a stroller set (matching stroller and car seat) that I LOVED. I put it on my registry and waited for the word from Ryan to go ahead to buy. When I got my job, and money became a possibility again, I went to admire my stroller when I realized that IT WAS SOLD OUT!! I literally couldn't find it anywhere. I think I shed a few tears...Ryan thought I was faking. But anyway, after sucking it up and deciding to just pick another set, I actually found a set that I loved a lot more. It was a newly released design/pattern, only available for pre-order. So I begged Ryan..."Ryan!! It doesn't come out until December 29th! Can I pre-order it?!? I'll have a paycheck by then!". He said yes (because really, who could refute that logic). I was so happy!! Not only that, I was able to find the matching bassinet for the bedroom. YES! And I'm happy (yet slightly annoyed) to announce that the new set I just bought has since sold out. Phew! I'm one of those people that feels rushed to buy stuff for this exact reason. If I don't buy it now, it won't be available when I'm ready to buy it. I've had that happen a lot lately. Besides the stroller set, there was only one other thing on my list that I was worried about selling out: my diaper bag! I was able to convince Ryan to let me buy it because my awesome parents gave me plenty of birthday money, and I slightly guilted him after my stroller set sold out (after he said it wouldn't and that I was just being dramatic). And guess what?! It came today!! It's rare that I get an item that I've ordered, that I fall in love with more than I did online. Usually it's never really what you thought it would be. But this was perfect!

Junie loved it too! And don't you think Ryan will be the sexiest looking dad when he carries this around?
I would like to submit my story as proof that buying things early is not paranoia, it's the smart move! But now I'm worried that after all this work, the baby will have suddenly sprouted another appendage and we'll be told that we're having a boy.
