We had a few errands to run, and I know that Ryan hates running errands, so I was dreading the bad mood it was bound to put him in. As we were heading out the door, Ryan decided to check the mail since we hadn't checked it since last week. Let's just say, Grandma Griffin LOVES us. She sent us a very generous check for Christmas. THIS is why we're naming the baby after her. With more moola in our pockets, Ryan perked up a bit, and the errand running was actually very fun. We had to go to Target to return some stuff (more cha-ching!), so Ryan did what he always does when we go to Target: he got popcorn. I swear he could live off the stuff....After Target, we ran to Sam's Club because I wanted a hot dog. Well, I DID want a hot dog until a little boy ruined it for me. I was munching away when I started "people watching". One boy in particular stuck out. I wondered why he had his hand shoved into his mouth. Turns out he was gruesomely ripping out a tooth. I literally couldn't finish my hot dog once I saw the bloody mess he was dealing with. Side note to ALL parents. PLEASE do not let your children do gross stuff like that in public. Especially if it's in a crowded place where people are eating. Totally ruined my lunch.
Once the errands were over, I ran home to play house wife. I had to take down all of the Christmas decorations and do some cleaning before our evening plans. It makes me sad that there is a bare corner where our pretty tree once stood...I only JUST put away the load of laundry that I put in last week (yeah, I didn't get around to dealing with it before the busy holidays), and now that it is put away, I have another large load waiting for me. Gosh, I hate doing laundry! Correction, I hate folding and putting away laundry.
Our evening plans were all Ryan's idea, and I'm so glad he thought of them. He wanted to take me to Temple Square because 1) I hadn't gotten to go see the lights yet, and 2) He wanted a beautiful location for me to play with my camera. Perfect! I loved wandering through temple square, and even more, I loved thinking back onto the last time we were there..OUR WEDDING DAY!
I've recently gotten Ryan into the show "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives," so he wanted to hunt down one of the diners that we saw on the show. It's called the "Blue Plate" diner. It was a bit out of the way, but we didn't care because we wanted to be spontaneous and do something out of the ordinary. Plus, I was starving!! I got a burger with avocado, and Ryan got a buffalo burger with LOTS of bacon and cheese. He said the bacon was some of the best he's had. He still can't stop talking about it.
So can you see why today was so amazing? Hopefully tomorrow will be just as memorable. We have our 2o week ultrasound first thing in the morning. I love getting to see our little girl.
My papa would be so disappointed to hear that I couldn't eat all of my hot dog.
Gotta say, I love that we can take pictures of us without an arm outstretched and 4 inches from our faces. Love my remote and tripod!
I absolutely love this picture! I told Ryan that I "had a vision," and it turned out better than I pictured it would.
The temple is so beautifully clear, it almost looks like we're standing in front of a screen or something.I definitely think we'll go there again.

(Day 249)
