A few weeks back, Ryan and I were doing our usual round of shopping, not knowing that it would turn into a very terrible experience. To make a very LONG story short, the deli lady was rude to us, ruined the meat and cheese we ordered, and seemed to be trying to kill us when she left the plastic on the cheese. I was not happy! I ended up wasting $15 worth of cheese and turkey. I wrote a letter to the customer service department, not thinking anything would come of it. Mostly it was a venting moment. But today I got a call from the manager of the grocery store. He wanted to make it right. He replaced our meat and cheese that was ruined, and threw in a free cake and gallon of ice cream. So we got $15 of meat and cheese for free, a free $15 cake, and a gallon of ice cream that will probably take us a month to eat. I left the store feeling very proud of myself for taking the initiative. Ryan and I will be celebrating finding out the gender of the baby tomorrow with yummy chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. :D

(Day 221)
Umm... not to be rude or anything, but I thought they advised pregnant women to NOT eat deli meats, I've been told it puts you at risk for listeriosis.
ReplyDeleteI didn't say I was eating the meat. I make my husband homemade sandwiches for work everyday. Besides, my doctor says that I CAN eat deli meat if I heat it in the microwave. So no worries.
