Goodbye Claws

Today made me feel like such a bad mommy. It was like the kittens knew today was the day that they would forever lose their front claws and their ability to have more evil kitties. When I tucked them into their carrier, they went crazy. It broke my heart when I had to hand them over, knowing that they would soon be in surgery. I wish I didn't have to, but it's now a Utah law that cat owners have to have their cats spayed. I hope they don't hate me forever. I'll get to pick them up tomorrow morning, and I promise I'll spoil them until they feel better. Since we got home this evening, and I noticed that I'm not tripping over kittens and they aren't crawling all over me as I blog, the silence is making me sad.
