Workin' Hard or Hardly Workin'?

I've only been working for one week, and I can truly say that I love my job. I may not be able to say that in the future (as most jobs start out this way, and end with me loathing them), but I still can't get over how perfect of a job it is. I'm so thankful that the Lord blessed me with it. It took me a lot of time to find work; mostly because I was waiting for something that wouldn't overwhelm my already fragile emotional state. This seemed almost like it was meant for me. The hours mean that I get to spend most of the day with the girls, while also having enough time to be a good wife. And I feel so fulfilled now too. It's weird, but now that I'm actually contributing financially, I feel like I'm one step closer to being the old Natalie. The sense of confidence, pride, and maturity may have been something that I was lacking.

I've been doing very well at my job too. Something I was worried about for sure! But at yesterday's breakfast/sales meeting, they had me stand up and get a round of applause because on my first day I was able to set appointments. It's actually quite hard and something that not everyone is good at. They were all very impressed. Today I made more appointments! My supervisor was so proud of me. He gave me a hug, AND he started walking around handing out cash. For every appointment I make, I get more money. He gave me a 2 dollar bill. It's not a lot, but I thought it was cute. Now if my appointments can turn into sales, I get even more cash. I just pray that I can be successful at this job. Not only from a financial standpoint, but because they expect the best. I could be fired quite easily if my appointments stop coming in. OH, and on top of everything...My sleeping schedule is back on track! I get up at 6:30 with Ryan, take him to the train, come home and get ready for work, and go. Then I get home around noon and take a cat nap (pun intended) with the kitties. I'm finding that I'm worn out by the end of the day, and can more than easily fall asleep by 10:30 or 11. It's nice to be back to normal in that regard. It's pretty funny because Ryan and I are so exhausted by the end of the day, we have been falling asleep while reading our scriptures. We're lucky if we can actually make it to the prayer. Haha!

I got my wish last night. Ryan and I were able to celebrate our anniversary! Albeit a little unglamorous, but we had a blast. We went to Walmart and bought the kittens a "kitty condo." They're still not sure about it, but we'll give them a while to warm up to it before it goes back. Then we went to McDonalds and got some late night treats. (This was my demand) I was starving and was demanding that be how Ryan celebrated with me. Ryan stopped at Krispy Kreme to get himself a dozen treats too. :P Then we came home and watched "How to Train Your Dragon," while cuddling with the kittens. I had a "moment" last night. The movie had ended, it was bed time, I had my head resting on Ryan's shoulder, and both of the kittens were sprawled out on his chest asleep. It felt like we were a little family. We wanted to just go to sleep right then. It felt so special.

Anyway, I guess this post is to continually realize how blessed I am. I am feeling SO much better than I was a few months ago. Everything is slowly coming together, and I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes. My mom gave me a magnet that said "Faith in the Lord requires faith in His timing." Oh how many times has that proven to be right!!

LIFE IS GOOD!!
