Today the kittens had it harder than me. I had to take them to get their second round of shots. They didn't enjoy the car ride to the vet, but they certainly enjoyed getting to run free in the exam room. New places always prove to be an adventure for them. Junie was of course naughty and Willow was of course well-behaved. The best part was when the vet had his back turned to the exam table. Junie was looking like she wanted to pounce on him, so the vet tech and I tried to keep her on the table. She figured out our plans and made a dash for him, leaping off the table and climbing her way up his back, onto his shoulder. He didn't respond; I think he's had it happen a few times before...They hated their shots. Junie had to get two and Willow only had to get one. Willow cried, but Junie didn't seem to notice in the slightest. We get to go back two more times in the next two months to do it all again. Mommy and Daddy aren't too happy, considering it cost $150 for the visit. Ouch!
They both waited patiently for the doctor. Junie even started talking to the door.

Clean bill of health for both of them. Willow weighs 1.3 lbs, and Junie 1.9 lbs.

Willow got her shots then quietly waited while Junie got hers. Such a well-behaved kitty...Junie could learn a few things from her

He put some topical heart worm medicine on her head. I wasn't allowed to touch her head for two hours, so she looked goofy like this all day.

Junie was naughty the entire time. But once she got both her shots, she ran over to the bed and laid down. I think she thought she was in trouble. Haha!
The doctor told me that they may be a bit sleepy from the shots. He was right! Junie passed out for about 3 hours on my tummy.
