Okay, so here is the post that I've been getting bugged about most. Warning, LOTS of pictures. I'll include the "before" and a bunch of "after" pictures.
We fell in love with this house, definitely NOT because of location, but for the size. We have 4000 sq ft, and lots of room to grow.

Lilly was wrapped in a blanket, because the heat had been turned off, and the house was FREEZING! I didn't like the blue.
AFTER
The theme of this room is navy blue and gold. I love the polka dots. And no, I didn't do this for Notre Dame, although, I do like the thought.

It was a hideous mustard yellow color. It took LOTS of coats to cover.

Ryan would be upset if I didn't point out his baby....the 75" TV.
I like my peek through hole, so I can monitor the kids while cooking or doing dishes.
I had this clock custom made, and I did not intend for it to be this HUGE, but hey, it works. We're going to put our caricatures from the fair up as a number each year.

I'd like to think that my main floor is mostly "shabby chic." Lots of burlap, lace, old country stuff. Oh, and chevron.
I fell in love with these sconces.

I'll admit, I was really bummed that the cabinets weren't white. But they were so beautifully done, I couldn't paint them. I was worried my backsplash might clash, but I think they go together beautifully.

The mud room was part of what made me fall in love. I walked through the kitchen, and after I stopped drooling over the kitchen, I walked into the mud room. I LOVED the little bench.

This is Lilly's "good girl" chart. She earns magnets for being good, and if she gets to 10 in any category, she gets a toy. I have a tote full of toys that she can pick from, and honestly, the whole concept has helped a lot with teaching her responsibility.

I went through a wallpaper tangent, and after doing the pantry, I swore it off forever!
I didn't get a "before" picture, but there was no fence when we moved in. So just imagine a whole lot of desert and weeds. Oh, and don't you love the gopher holes speckling the yard? UGH!
This is the best family picture we have...and it's pretty terrible. But Link's cranky face makes me laugh every time I get to the top of the stairs.
I didn't get any "before" pictures of this room. It's basically a loft at the top of the stairs. It's HUGE. They had already painted it this green, so I left it because it was perfect for a play room.

I had initially painted this room a periwinkle purple, but I didn't like it, and red just kept coming to mind. I'm glad I changed my mind.

I painted this room a soft salmony-orange. I wanted it to be somewhat gender neutral, so I just kept with bright colors for everything else.

When we first toured the house, I walked into this room and said "Ahh, so this is the Master..." That's how big it is!! This is the girls' room. It's just Lilly for now, since Ellie seems to sleep better with Link.

I have the matching bed and nightstand waiting for when Ellie moves to a big girl bed.

The kids all have huge walk-in closets.

So, I have half of Link's wall wallpapered in chevron. I plan to panel the bottom half like this picture. It hasn't been done yet, so until then, we have a weird-looking wallpaper disaster. Once the paneling is done, I think all my "projects" will be done.
Clearly the theme is Star Wars
Above the mirror it says "We made one wish and two came true"
Link's down to only two stuffed Star Wars guys on his mobile. Since he learned to stand in his crib, they've been disappearing at an alarming rate. I caught him in the act.

UGH, the color of the master bedroom was SO horrible. It was like a dark, rusty red, and splotchy, like they didn't know how to paint. What's funny is that between our master bedroom, bathroom, and closet, the space is bigger than our entire first apartment. Another one of the big selling points for me.

We didn't love the grey that we picked, because for some reason, it looks purpley, but it's better than rust.

My mouth fell open when I saw how huge the bathroom was. I HATE the tile, so eventually I'm going to do the tile that looks like wood. But that's for another....millennium

We had to nerd it up just a little
And finally, the room that sealed the deal. Everyone that sees my master closet immediately asks to move in. It's seriously the size of a bedroom. And since I could, I decided to make it every girl's dream closet. Gaudy wallpaper, an over-the-top chandelier, and an ottoman.
Oh, and it's also where I store all my yarn.
Moving to the basement. We had the basement framed since moving in. Drywall and everything else will probably come withing a few years. Until then, I hung white curtains to make this room a little prettier.
Ryan and I both have offices. I only JUST got around to cleaning and organizing it (sort of) this past weekend. Let's just say, the basement needs A LOT of work done.
Welp, that's about it. Can you see now why we fell in love? Now if only civilization would decide to move out here, too.
