Passport Baby

Last night, during our weekly chat with my dad, it occurred to us that we'd needed to get Lilly a passport for when we go up to visit Seattle/Canada this summer. It was totally inspired that we had the conversation when we did, because Ryan ran off to see when his passport expired, and it expires in July (the month that we're going to be travelling) PHEW! Today's big errand was getting everyone's passports dealt with.

We didn't realize that the passport office at the Draper City Hall didn't open until 12:30, so we decided to go out to lunch while we waited. I wanted something simple, so Ryan picked Astro Burger. I was surprised that Lilly wouldn't eat any of Ryan's fries, and instead was more interested in jumping up and down on the booth. When we got to City Hall, the passport process was quick, yet expensive. They wanted Lilly to stand on a chair to get her picture, but since she was too wiggly, Ryan ended up having to sit her on his shoulders. The picture we ended up getting looked like a little baby mugshot. Straight-faced and serious. Hopefully we won't have to get another one any time soon.

My double chin is out of control!

Attempt one: using a chair. Fail

Attempt two: sitting on daddy's shoulders.
