Shake, Shake, Shake

Sick as usual. I THINK I may be getting better. My cough isn't as persistent, but I have developed another troubling symptom. The past few days of constant, intense coughing had me wondering if the dull, aching pain in my ribs was my gallbladder, a sore diaphragm, or a broken rib. I was leaning towards it being the gallbladder since I have a history of it not working. Well, I got my answer today. I spent all day curled up in a little ball while my gallbladder attacked. I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. I literally slept all day, hoping it would be enough to distract me from the pain. So flu-wise, I think I'm starting down the road of recovery. Gallbladder-wise, there is still one LONG road ahead.

I did try and force myself to get up today. I noticed that walking up and down the stairs felt like trying to breathe under water: IMPOSSIBLE! My wheezing is really bad. I did manage to make dinner. Don't worry, I pretended I was scrubbing in for heart surgery. If I touched my face or coughed, I immediately washed my hands. Dessert was an interesting twist of fate. Ryan and I got the same "light bulb" at the exact same time. We both looked up and said "You know what sounds good? A milkshake!" Luckily we have a nifty Happenings coupon book and had a coupon for a free shake at Arctic Circle...which also happens to be right next door. So now I am putting out the chronic coughy burn in my chest by dousing it with a cookie dough shake. MMMM!

Not enough cookie dough if you ask me.
