Impulses

Today was full of impulse buys! Let me explain....It all started when my dad accepted my request to live in an apartment next year. With him paying for room and board, the money I've saved up this past year is MINE! ha! While out with the family, a sudden urge for a nice tv kicked in. Clay and I browsed the tvs at Walmart and found a perfect 32" flat pannel that had my name all over it. To make the purchase complete, a cute little DVD player! (I thought to myself, "why the heck didn't I do this when I was pregnant and on bedrest?!?")

My next purchase wasn't as dramatic, but was something I've had my eyes on for awhile. I love Willow Tree figurines, and I have a little collection starting. Each one that I've received as a gift holds a special place in my heart. I have one of an angel holding a cat; this one from both my mom and one from Karlee when my cat Roo died last year. Another is of a young girl, titled "Remember," given to me by my adoption counselor. Today's was of a little boy, holding a gold heart, titled "You will always have my heart." Fitting, considering the little baby boy that will literally always have a piece of my heart with him. I love him and this figurine is for him! When I do finally move into my apartment, I'm going to have a shelf for all of my figurines...my shelf in remembrance of all of the things I've loved and lost.

As my purchases got smaller and smaller, they ended with my favorite treat...well, my current favorite. PICKLE FLAVORED SUNFLOWER SEEDS!! As I'm dieting, and going through withdrawals from fattening foods, I find that it's easier to do if I snack on a mouthfull seeds. YUM!

The rest of my day was full of FUN random activities, done with my favorite people. It began at K-mart, where the world's funniest, most inappropriate license plate was found. Clay and Jack couldn't resist! Honestly, who does that?!?

Then, Jack got his missionary pictures taken today. He was having a bit of an acne issue, so he asked me to step in as his makeup artist. I'm skilled!! haha! I'm not going to lie, it was kind of weird doing my little brother's makeup...and sad to say that it wasn't the first time.

And to top the day off, I got my hands on a copy of NEW MOON!!!! Is it just me, or was I meant to have the best movie night ever!?
